Aftercare

Your treatment provider will discuss your personal aftercare treatment and expectations. Depending on the depth of your peel expect some redness and peeling of the skin. After peel care includes a 3-7 day period free of makeup, exercise, and excessive heat such as hot showers, steam rooms and saunas. Wide brim hats and broad spectrum SPF over 30 should be worn everyday to protect the sensitive skin, especially during peak sunlight hours.

Safety

Chemicals peels should not be performed on anyone who has recently waxed within 7 days of the area being treated, has been in or plans to be in the sun, has an active cold sore ( take Valtrex 48hours prior), used Accutane within the past year, has had recent radiation or chemotherapy, as well as women pregnant or breastfeeding.

Discontinue using any prescription topicals as well as products containing retinol, alpha hydroxy acids (AHA), beta hydroxy acids (BHA) or benzoyl peroxide 7 days prior to your peel.
